Is anybody familiar with Notre Dame Stadium Seating
I will be at the game tomorrow supporting the Miaze and Blue. My tickets are section 17 row 3. I was wondering if anybody is familiar with how Notre Dame's seating works. FWIW I was told that row 3 is actually row 1 because 1 & 2 are on the field. I was also told it's supposed to be right behind the MMB. I just can't wait to find out so any help would be much appreciated.

This doesn't exactly answer your questions, but it might be helpful to you or other folks who view this thread.
And here's their official page on the stadium:

Yeah I checked that out yesterday. I just wanted to know if Row 3 was going to be the first row right behind the brick wall. I just think itd be a little bit cooler to be down right there instead of 2 rows behind it.

(Edited out seating chart, since was beat to it...for info then, the band is on the field in that corner. If you're not RIGHT behind them...you're really close)

Yes it's exactly like the big house seating, minus a couple 20, 30, 40 thousand seats and two awesome structures on both sides.

Notre Dame Stadium was indeed designed to be a carbon copy of Michigan Stadium - but ND didn't think it could draw as many fans, so they built a scaled-down version.

You will be right behind the band in the end zone, so prepare for shenanigans like this:

when they gave ND QB a touchdown while Tyrone was coach? I cant remember all of the details, but want to know who their QB was that was allowed to score 6 and the ball didnt cross the goalline

Carlyle Holiday. Game included a holding call in the endzone to give them a safety, and we of course lose by 2, 25-23. I never saw the whole TD debacle because it was at the other end of the field, and obviously ND scoreboard technology is from the 50s and they have no jumbotron replays. Not that they would show it anyway.

Yes, you will be almost directly behind Michigan's band.

Based on my experience, you will be SEATED the entire time. Otherwise the roaming packs of jack-booted senior citizen ushers will threaten you with expulsion.

Every seat in the stadium is bad, because they all have an unobstructed view of Notre Dame football.

similar theme but you beat me by a minute or two.

I have sat in section 14 and was behind the band there. Yes the band is in that corner.
FWIW, a guy I worked with had a daughter in the MMB, so that was good for us. Tom Brady started the game and some hotshot recruit named Drew Henson finished. Wished the outcome was better.
