After graduating, I had to at least try in 2001. After a Saturday night of Guinness, I woke up on Sunday to try out for the Kalamazoo Kings. I started my car, and Centerfiled (Put Me In Coach) was playing on the radio, no joke. I got my required sprint in, finished last of the group. Took my place at 1B, and dropped a great throw from the 3rd. Got up to the plate, hit a curveball to right-center, for a stand up single... and that was my baseball career. I could hear George Kell in my head calling "AND THERES A BASE HIT INTO RIGHT!!" I felt like Moonlight Graham stepping off the field. |

Been there many times...do the whole Bourbon Street thing, eat beignets at Cafe Du Monde, drink a Hurricane at Pat O'Briens...and avoid any side street that does not have tourists on it...also take the St. Charles streetcar for a view of the old houses (if they are still there-have not been since Katrina) Eat oysters and crawfish as well |

I do not know why I waited 34 yrs to get these..makes 100% difference in standing, walking, everything...it is worth the $, and you can reimburse it via health insurance FSA HSA etc.., if that is a program you have...ran me about 200$ but no more arch issues in my feet |

Take control in that delivery room--help your wife breathe during labor, and make sure you breathe as well..if you think you are going to pass out, you wont...trust me (a random internet dude) Time will fly, as they told me, and now that our daughter is 2.5 and our boy is almost 8 months, TIME DOES FLY--appreciate every dirty diaper, every bit of lost sleep, and you dont know what a zombie looks like at work until you turn into one AGAIN CONGRATS!! |
