Ambry Thomas! for Tampa Tom

Thomas with a game ending INT for Niner's win gives Tampa Bay a bye in the playoffs.

You can still get a silly tie-breaker between the #2 and #3 seeded teams when there are two byes, so that doesn't really matter.

I initially thought the single-bye as silly too, but it actually works out pretty nicely: if you win your division, you either get the bye or you get a home game the first round, which nicely awards division winners.

I thought 6 was too many. I stopped watching when the worst team to make the playoffs, the 6th seed Giants, who had lost to the undefeated Patriots in the final game of the regular season was suddenly now the best team because they beat the Patriots the one time out of ten that season. It ruined the NFL for me. Now we have 7 and making the playoffs is almost as easy as the NBA. At least the NBA has best of series so it's a little more accurate to who the better team is.

Great play by Ambry, clinched a playoff spot for the Niners - but pretty sure only the Pack get a bye in the NFC, only Tennessee in the AFC.

Look it up ?‍♂️
