All In For Michigan

When this theme for the '09 season first surfaced, response was mostly "meh" - me included. But with the affairs of the last 2-3 days I'm discovering it's the perfect metaphore to sort the fallout from the Freep article and get rededicated. We've got a season starting Saturday. But Rita's towel and wave the hell out of it as we put 60 on WMU and run Jabba the Weiss back to South Bend. I'm All In - GO BLUE !!!

Back when I was a senior in high school, our football team (More so my football coach) had a saying that was relative to this one. Something that will always resonate with me and that was: You are either in or you are out. You're either in or you're out. So simple yet so strong and it held many truths. Sometimes there is no gray, only black and white.

I see I'm not the only one. In fact, I'll go so far as to say I thought the "All In For Michigan" slogan was the cheeziest thing ever, made me cringe every time I heard it, and I have refused to buy the t-shirt for this reason. (I probably still won't buy it, but now only because I bought a couple other maize shirts instead.) I have since done a 180, thanks to RR's emotional press conference, and hearing players say it. I was wrong. I have been righted. I am.... ALL IN FOR MICHIGAN.
