Today, mgoblog even jumped McElwain's shark. In olden days when knights were bold our ancestors played a game like that and talked about its epic character for decades to come. Today's fans pee their pants before, during, and after the game, and continue to enjoy their whining for ours to come. Weenie World.

early contender for dumbest fucking post of the day and possibly ever

My stroke dead grandma can see this team is bad and the coaching has gotten worse during Harbaugh’s time here.

The guy is an overpaid clown who gets his ass handed to him constantly.

You could see Urban holding back laughter today talking about Harbaugh and his Michigan program. He knows. Anyone with a brain knows.

Harbaugh is done and pretty much never was. He caught lightening in a bottle with Kaep and got lucky to have Luck. Otherwise, the guy beats bad teams and gets his has handed to him by good to great ones. He hasn’t won shit here and loses out of sheer stubbornness.

I can’t wait for his ass to finally leave. He’s not worth a red cent what he’s paid and UM can afford to go get a coach who actually can win a B1G East title for fucks sake.

Fuck you too. You are the worst type of fan and the exact reason we continue to be in the situation with dog shit coaches and constant shitty seasons.

the AD knows fans like you don’t expect more than the garbage Harbaugh is putting out on the field.

Then you come on here and bitch and moan about people sharing their opinions. Don’t like what I have to say? Downvote and move on.

but you are such a little bitch - constantly yelling troll. Jesus Christ.

You don't have to be in the BPONE to realize that there are things to still work out and that, if the team wants to reach their goals, certain things have to change.  At the same time, I strongly suspect that the team is probably more self-aware of the things it does and doesn't do well without the help of the twitter-verse descending upon them.

There is attrition every year. Yes a lot of guys have been in the system now, but you guys are acting like these are the same exact people as year one making the same exact mistakes with the same exact system. There has been staff turnover, player turnover. The cool thing about college football is that every season is its own. Last year doesn’t matter. It’s a new season, new players. Players have come and gone. It’s not the same issues year after year it’s different things. Even Alabama and Clemson have stuff to work on.

I feel your frustration.  I really do.  And I'm right there with you.

But this is something that should be said EVERY year.  There are no silver bullets here.  No winning formula.  You can plan and scheme to maximize your chances for victory.  But then you have to go out and try to execute against someone who is actively attempting to thwart everything you are doing.    Personally, I'm not a fan of the rock-paper-scissors analogy.  This game has evolved and is now chess on grass; it's the closest sport we have to simulated warfare.  And of course, there's the old adage that no battle plan survives contact with the enemy.

Specific to the college game, personnel changes occur every year, player and staff.  And with injuries, those changes happen even within the same year.

And as we all know, at the end of last year, we completely jettisoned our entire offensive philosophy (leave the raging debate whether this actually happened to another discussion).  There are growing pains; there will continue to be growing pains--every damn year.  And although the team hasn't realized its goals yet, we continue to get closer and closer.

There are only a few things I feel like fans should be permitted to criticize players or coaches for--especially during a season.  First, effort.  If it's not there, that's foundational.  It doesn't matter what the plan is or what the other team is doing.  That is there with this team.  Second, preparation.  You need to maximize your chances for success early.  And last, the ability to be flexible to respond to what the other team is doing.

I don't think the coaches and players lack for effort.  They knew what was coming and met it head on.  And it did not look like we were unprepared for anything that Army threw at us.  And I'm not knowledgeable enough about the intricacies of the game to know whether we adjusted to what Army was doing.  Frankly, I think we knew what they were going to do the whole time and it was just all hands on deck to get the job done, as distasteful as we knew it was going to be.

Sorry for the diary, started to ramble.

My hot take before the season was that we would struggle to beat Army and the board would melt down because of it.  Only to look stupid when we won the conference.  Two for three already!
