AFC & NFC Championship Thread

Ladies and germs we have 2 very good games on deck today! Will Mahomes be good on that ankle? Can Purdue get to the Super Bowl as a rook? Will Hurts be able to impose his will vs a formidable 9ers D? Will Burrow feel at home @ “Burrowhead”?

I got Cincy vs 9ers in the SB…what say you?

Hoping for a Bengals-49ers Super Bowl. I'll settle for a 49ers-Chiefs Super Bowl.

I actually have a ticket to the game and I really don't want to see the Eagles.

I'm a Lions fans, but I'm all-in on 49ers. My dad was a huge 49ers fan (he had season tickets in the 1970s and his last year as a season ticket holder was for The Catch) so I can't help but cheer for them. I'm also born and raised in CA and still live less than 3 hours from Levi's Stadium.

Bought tickets to the game for the hello of it back in July at the same time I bought Lions season tickets. Seeing a team I care about would make that purchase a bit more justifiable.

Being a germ, I’ll be rooting for Purdue today - and, hope they defend their home court against the squad from EL.

As for Purdy, it will be a tall task.  Philly is tough, and especially, tough at home.

I have no rooting interest, but - a Philly v Cincy Super Bowl wouldn’t surprise me.

Enjoy…

damn, just saw this after I posted. here was my post.

Who you got? What are your bets?

Lots of line movement in the KC/Cin game throughout the week based on Mahomes ankle news and speculation. KC went from being a favorite, to underdog, and back again. They are now up to a 2.0 point favorite with a late line move this morning.

Philly has been a 2.5 point favorite all week, until this morning with a late line move as well up to 3. That's a pretty big deal to hit the key number.

Here are my bets, I call this my 'teaser window' strategy. Teasing both sides along with the over/under 6.5 points.

Teaser #1

KC +4.5 & over 41.5

CIN +8.5 & over 41.5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Teaser #2

SF +9.5 & under 51.5

Philly +3.5 & under 51.5

I'm expecting two close games and really think the over/unders will play to form.

Rabid fan of the 49ers and Wolverines.  The Harbaugh thread that runs between these two programs continues as Shanahan righted the ship in SF as Harbaugh did and again in Ann Arbor.
Expecting a great and gritty game played on both sides of the ball.  Philly is a nasty environment even in mild weather.  Glad to be rooting for the underdog here and there’s an edge to this team that is much sharper than last season and the muffed pic by Tartt that put the Rams in the SB.

Predict SF 23, PHI 21 as time expires.

Every one of these four teams has been in a Super Bowl since the Lions last appeared in a playoff game and all but Cincinnati have won the Super Bowl since the Lions last won its division or a playoff game.

Josh Johnson, who just came in for Purdy, was Harbaugh's quarterback in college at San Diego. He's been a career backup for 15 years for many teams. He is one of the reasons Harbaugh has the reputation he has for developing quarterbacks. His first series wasn't so great, hope it's up from here (if he stays in).

It summed up how things were going for Michigan at the time when it was obvious from the beginning of that season that OSU freshman Nick Bosa was clearly better than Michigan freshman and #1 recruit Rashan Gary. Times have changed.

49ers D really blowing chances this drive. Need to hold them to 3 here. With current QB I can't imagine they'll try to do something with under 2:00 to play once they get the ball back.

3 penalties on SF defense this drive. Back to back runs Sanders sticks his hands in the defenders facemask, but I guess that's fine since he doesn't play for SF.
