6'5" Guard Baylor Scheierman in the portal
Lots of competition already for this guy, but he's a big guard who shoots 50% from distance and rebounds like a power forward. If we are still hunting for a guard, he might be worth a call.

Is there a service that has up to date portal rankings for basketball and/or football? That would be a crap ton of work, but im curious where the guys that left us rank, and where the guys that are on our radar rank.
3 pt shooting is actually mid to high 40s, but he also shoots in the 80s from the free throw line.
Yeah - with the $ that can be had from some of those other schools - super long shot for UM at best.
Extra long shot when we don't even try. Not on the list
I wonder what Miami is thinking now. This kid looks way better than the one they paid $800k to get from KSU.
Naw, the guy they got is a proven, very good PG at the high major level (best bball conference in the country in fact).
This guy is likely mostly Just A Shooter at the high major level, where he's probably going to play SF/3. He appears to be an incredible shooter, but not comparable position-wise.
That said, based on the list of suitors this guy will probably command more than the $400k year that Pack got, and if so, Miami will feel really good that they got in before the market went nuts.
Positionally, this guy is much more like Shannon and I'd rather have Shannon (hopefully the fact we haven't reached out to this guy means we feel good about Shannon).
Shop smart, shop S Mart.
I imagine his stats will go down somewhat going from Summit League to B1G/ACC/SEC but still would be a nice get.
career stats: 12.4 PTS, 48.8% FG, 41.4% 3PT, 78.8% FT, 7.1 REB, 3.6 AST, 0.9 STL, 2.0 TO
basically, kid can shoot the lights out (stats are way better when looking at just sophomore and junior seasons).
Let's bag him!
Our OL is set this year.
That was my first thought.

I thought he was transferring FROM Baylor. Couldn't figure why he would do that?

His numbers against the couple of high-major teams he played against this year weren't great, and I'm not sure he'd be a big upgrade over the other options out there. But I guess if they strike out on the other transfers he'd be worth giving a look.
Read that Nebraska thinks they will get him. He is from Nebraska also which makes sense
