3* 2022 TE Marlin Klein Committing This AM
Per his IG, announcement scheduled for 10:30 this morning. One of Michigan's top targets at TE in the 2022 class. 3* from Georgia by way of Germany. Brice and Steve both have crystal balls in for Michigan.

In the Funchess mold. Quite thin still, but incredibly athletic. He could probably play WR if they wanted.
I don't usually like to take part in the game where we predict that all of Michigan's 3-star commitments are going to become 4-stars later, but it is very early in the process right now for 2022 guys, and I honestly expect this guy to rise significantly as he adds weight.

The recruiting sites are comparing him pretty favorably to Fidone, but an unpolished version at the same stage of their career.
TE recruiting will be interesting in 2022 since they clearly want more than one and are in prime position with Klein and Oscar Delp (grew up Michigan fan and likely getting bump in rankings soon), but also have good standing with Top 100 players in Donovan Green and Jaleel Skinner. If Delp wants in, they could possibly stand pat at 2 or push for an elite talent and make it a bigger TE class.

All I can add is that Rabun Gap is a very nice private boarding school up in the Georgia mountains. It's where I threaten to send my kids if they misbehave because it's nice enough that they believe it's a credible threat.
