247 Way-To-Early College Basketball ranking
Hunter Dickinson to Kansas puts Kansas at #1. Michigan not in the Top 25.
“We’re excited. We’ve recruited some really good players over time, but we’ve never recruited anybody who has averaged 17 points a game over three seasons at a Big Ten school like the University of Michigan,” Self said on Friday.
Where is Michigan headed this year? Could they make it to The Dance?
"The mission of the University of Michigan is to serve the people of Michigan and the world through preeminence in creating, communicating, preserving and applying knowledge, art, and academic values, and in developing leaders and citizens who will challenge the present and enrich the future."
Michigan once more serving the world and developing leaders.
Yay us?
I love how they acknowledge their rankings are "way too early" ----- yet they do it anyway.
On a related note, I met a friend for brunch today, he was talking about some 2024 mock draft he read, a Penn Stater being drafted #8 by the Colts. OK. Surely nothing will change between now and next April's draft day ............
You're not wrong. I mean, mocks are always functionless. But if you're a draft nerd like me they're fun anyways, and it's a fun way to learn some names that could be relevant in a year. As a Colts fan I'd love to add Olu next season.
Also, you get gems like when Kiper mocked that shitty Minnesota QB whose name escapes me in the first and even Gopher fans laughed.
Michigan basketball will finish in the bottom 4 of the Big Ten and have a sub .500 overall record.
Kansas will win the Big 12 and be a 1 seed in the ncaa tournament
These types of threads are so irrelevant, rosters aren't even set yet. In other news guy, Canada is on strike...& no one cares bou't that either.
All that basketball goodwill we built up with sweet 16 runs is gone. The rest of the country is looking at Michigan BB the way we lookin at MSU football.
How did this happen so fast?
I thought for sure with Juwan's kids coming and our 21/22 recruit class that we'd continue and even upgrade this run.
Luckily its only basketball.
Oh ffs it was one bad year. Anyone sleeping on the Love-Dug-TWill-Tschetter-Reid core will live to regret it
2021-2022 wasn't a great year either. They were a middle of the pack Big Ten team with the 8 seed in the BTT.
Michigan has finished in the bottom half of the conference 3/4 years. They have their worst roster in year 5 compared to the other years.
MSU football fans would kill to be in as good a spot as UM bb right now. Which says nothing good about us, but rather says everything bad about Tuck and his albatross contract.
Albatross contract? He deserves an extension and a raise…
Way too early, but does Michigan deserve to be Top 25 after last year? Nope.
Too. This is Michigan fergodsake.
I have no ill will towards Hunter but I really don't give a fuck about Kansas or what he does there frankly. I won't root against them, I won't root for them.
Nobody does it better.
I would be shocked if we have a winning record in the conference this year. This roster is pretty bad. Their offense will be pretty awful and their defense will be average probably. This is like a poor man's Rutgers from previous years.
Only positive for Hunter to Kansas is it maybe blockades MSU who is an experienced guard heavy team which is the formula for NCAA tourney success whatever they do in the Big 10. This is a dangerous year for them to succeed.
