247 Director of Basketball Scouting, Jerry Meyer, puts in Michigan crystal ball for 2020 4* C Hunter Dickinson
This most likely went unnoticed due to our big win over State yesterday, but this is a big crystal ball to get for us. I believe that Dickinson will also be making his decision in the next few weeks.

Excellent. Hopefully this ends in good news soon.

Yeah buddy!
November 17th, 2019 at 4:59 PM ^
Hopefully this helps convince Todd to stay in the U.S.

Todd ain't going to Europe. Far more fun to stay in the US.
Was Dickinson in AA this past weekend???

We need him to sign early (in the next few days).
I don't think Michigan wants to be signing multiple guys later on when other schools have spots that open up (and can swoop in).

Don't be scared, we're a destination now.

Add HD, Josh Christopher (hopefully) and get Isaiah Todd to sign and this class is a solid first effort for the staff. Throw in Jace Howard and while it wouldnt be the Fab 5, we'd be looking good for some momentum for 2021 recruiting and beyond.

Lander can reclassify and come.
November 17th, 2019 at 5:39 PM ^
Getting two five-stars and two other top 50 players would be far, far, far better than "solid".
November 17th, 2019 at 5:53 PM ^
Completely true under normal circumstances. With Howard getting hired late in the cycle for 2020 recruits, it would be an amazing haul.
November 17th, 2019 at 6:49 PM ^
Not to mention WAGNER. this should not be unappreciated. Howard held onto him which is almost as good as landing him from the getgo.
November 17th, 2019 at 8:07 PM ^
Wagner committed to Juwan, not to Beilein. Probably he would have come if Beilein had stayed, but staying in Germany was considered a pretty strong possibility before Beilein left.
Hanging on to Zeb may prove to be important.

In colloquial slang use “solid” means awesome or excellent. I promise I didn’t mean it was non-liquid or gas
November 17th, 2019 at 7:03 PM ^
Thank you for distinguishing colloquial slang from formal slang.
November 17th, 2019 at 6:34 PM ^
Solid? WTF.
November 17th, 2019 at 5:11 PM ^
Dickenson would be huge. We need a replacement for Teske and he and castleton will fit in nicely
November 17th, 2019 at 5:30 PM ^
Great news, sure hope he signs with UM.
November 17th, 2019 at 5:30 PM ^
Hell yeah!
November 17th, 2019 at 6:57 PM ^
Would be nice if he were related to Bruce.
November 17th, 2019 at 5:53 PM ^
Play style for Michigan looks like it is about to really be a true 180 from the Beilein era with our biggest talents being big men.
November 17th, 2019 at 6:01 PM ^
This would be a huge pickup. He’s not as exciting as Todd, but for sustained success this is exactly the “tier” of player I’d love to see Michigan land. Top 40 guy, but with a high likelihood of sticking around for multiple years. I don’t have confidence in MI consistently pulling the true five stars “one and done” types, but filling a roster of top 30-50 types seems more feasible and the added continuity of getting multi-year players could be key for success.
Of course, if a five star like Christopher wants to commit, sign me up for that in a heartbeat. I just get pessimistic about the likelihood of those guys actually signing, and think players like Hunter are right in the sweet spot for forming the foundation of the team.

Howard's star is rising week to week. Don't be surprised if by the end of this season, Michigan becomes the same desired destination as Duke and K. Everyone will want to play for him.
November 17th, 2019 at 10:00 PM ^
At Duke and Kentucky are you really playing for the coach at this point? I’m guessing it’s all about the bagmen and exposure with those two programs now. Coach K sold his soul to the devil shortly after the early 90’s teams and I don’t think Calipari ever had a soul.
November 18th, 2019 at 5:02 AM ^
This also brings up the question that is a top 50 recruit in his 2nd year in the system more efficient than a one and done who relies more on individual talent?
November 17th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
Hoping its not only a verbal, but signing his LOI to get the recruiting train really moving forward
November 17th, 2019 at 8:56 PM ^
Beilein is the winningest coach in program history and he couldn't pull that off.
November 17th, 2019 at 6:17 PM ^
Watching his highlights, he kind of reminds me of former Badger, Ethan Happ.
November 17th, 2019 at 6:44 PM ^
Zeb, Todd, Dickenson and then add a shooter. Call it a day
I have a bad feeling about Todd though and its not going to go away until he signs
November 17th, 2019 at 7:28 PM ^
Try hitting your toe with a hammer.
November 18th, 2019 at 9:47 AM ^
I hope we get jace
November 17th, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
Come on down, Mr. Dickinson!
November 18th, 2019 at 7:01 AM ^
Come on down big fella, it looks like we’ll be working inside out and cutters off the big men.
