2013 Spring Game date ?? and football camps??

Any announcement on a date yet ?

 

never been to the spring game

 

would love to go to that, check out the la crosse team if they have a game after like last year, hit that sale they always have the morning of the spring game,

 

Also, would like to look at the Michigan football camp for the 12 year old, who straight beasted in his youth league this season on the  O Line and D Line/ LB..Lots of Pancakes, but I think hes gonna be LB build....I think the camp is like what 420 dollars ?

 

anybody ever send their kid to the Michigan football camp ?

experiences ?  your thoughts ?

This might not be a popular opinion here but I have attended two spring games and thought they were both pretty boring. The caveat is that they were both under Lloyd's regime so they may be more entertaining now but still, I was disappointed.

Not that I loved Rich Rod less, but that I loved Michigan more.

I was at last year's spring game.  It was enjoyable in that it was FOOTBAW, which had been missing from my life for far too long, but it was average on the whole.  Hearing Carl Grapentine leave his mic on and say things like, "Oh wow, that was a pretty nice run" was funny, though.

Yes. It was definitely cool at first to be in the stadium and see the atmosphere but after a short time you realize it just doesn't have the same energy as a game day (obviously).

Not that I loved Rich Rod less, but that I loved Michigan more.

The camp is around 4-500 dollars if they are staying. I think it is $150 or so less if he is comuting.  I believe that the camp is in late June.

2011 Nebraska State Champ "We're Michigan." @tannerwooten not that funny, though.

The Spring Game could be an actual game this year now that the roster has a little depth. That would be perfect.



Also, I went to camp as a super undersized linebacker before 9th grade (2004). If you send your kid, try to send them with a friend if possible. I accidentally got placed in the dorms with juniors and seniors, who surprisingly didn't want to hang with an eighth grader, haha.

With that said, it was a cool experience.

April 13 is the spring game. Michigan lacrosse will play ohio in Battle at The Big House II after the spring game in Michigan Stadium like last year.

As was said above, it might be an actual game this year (fingers crossed). The reason Hoke didn't have more of a game format before was due to lack of ability to field full lines on O and D. This year, and going forward, that shouldn't be a problem.

My kid went in 2011. It's was $350 and he stayed at the dorms. Its a cool experience

for them. They are exposed to all the coaches and facilities. He said he didn't learn a lot of new stuff, it's just basically extra practice and reps.



Remember that youth camps are just money makers for the football program. They really don't worry about making your kid much better than they already are.

I went to camp in the summer of '07. One of the best experiences of my life.

They ask for Mott donations at the gate, though, and you can get some cool "prizes" depending on what kind of cash you're willing to fork over to the hospital.

being the weekend of 15 Jun. My son went two years ago. It was a good camp. RB camp had the most kids so you may want to consider that when choosing a position.

A lot of access to the coaches and the facilities. Some of the players work the camp as water boys. A few recruits walking around.

fun way to kill a day but boring and meaningless

last year-  denard did not play, devin was bad,  bellomy was good--  at least that is how borges and i both saw it.
