2010 recruiting
This is my first post in here. I have enjoyed reading for a while.
I'm wondering what you all think of 2010 dual-threat QB Robert Bolden out of St. Mary's in Orchard Lake. Everyone talks about Devin Gardner, but Rivals seems pretty high on this guy.
Also, any recent news on Marvin Robinson?

Bolden in a more polished passer than Gardner but Gardner has greater athletic ability, but Bolden can still run but not as fast as Gardner

Three buts in one sentence. Impressive.

so do we go after both of them hard, especially if we can't get another quarterback in this 2009 class?

I will answer your question only if you tell me how you survive being a Mich fan in Cincy.

I know about how he feels and how he does it. Although not quite as bad, I am a UM fan in Terre Haute(about an hour from Bloomington). You just walk around like you are supposed to be there, don't take any crap from anyone, and hold your head high, no matter how the UM teams are doing.

It's tough. I grew up in Flint area and settled down here after college. Every November I get hopeful that Michigan can get the big win against osu, but that hasn't happened yet since I've lived here. I survive by waiting for the day when we will own them again and I can go to work with my head held high. That and I try to get up to Ann Arbor for at least one game every year.

So you haven't turned to alcohol as your best friend yet?...Chances are we go after both, they are instate dual threat qbs so why not? That is my own opinion/speculation so take it with a grain of salt because I have no credibility to my name when it comes to recruiting.

You're lucky... in terms of Buckeye fans, Cincy is almost as good as Toledo. Cleveland and Columbus are like hell.

Cincy is a big basketball town, so a lot of the Buckeye fans are a little soft, but there are still a lot more of them than I would like. There are quite a few of our Wolverine brothers down here as well. You see a lot of Michigan jackets, caps, etc. during the week of the Ohio State game.

I went to law school in Cincinnati, and it wasn't as bad as I thought. As many UK fans as OSU fans, it seemed. Where do you live?

living in Dallas as an M fan would be tough among Oklahoma, Texas, A&M, Tech and LSU fans (certainly not as bad as growing up in Ohio). Turns out, I see more M gear than one would imagine down here. The dumb question I get once someone finds out were transplants from OH, "Your from Ohio, how can you like Michigan?"

I get that all the time and it is annoying. I just say Mich and Ohio fought over Toledo so there is a chance I could have been living in Michigan.

I live in Milford (east side of Cincinnati). The only time the OSU fans really get obnoxious around here is during the week of the Michigan-OSU game. Most of them can't list five starters for the Buckeyes though, they just like to be annoying. Buckeye fans are some of the worst fans in all of sports.

I ran into a big group of Penn State fans last weekend who were in town for the Rose Bowl, and they said that they travel to a couple away games every year and have for about 15 years. They had been to 5 or so Michigan games, said they loved the Big House and that M fans were great. They said that they had only been to Columbus once and will never go back because of how nasty the people were.
OSU has little good going for it.

I've never been to a game in Columbus, but I went to a Bengals(vs. the Patriots) game a couple of years ago and will never go again. I couldn't stand listening to the fans mutter incoherent insults about Tom Brady, etc. I've actually heard that the Browns fans are even worse. Its a wonder Braylon Edwards is doing as well as he is up there. The people in this state are just crazy.
