2010 High Priority Recruit for UM

Submitted by Craven Morehead on
If there ever was one recruit that UM should focus on like a laser beam, it's this kid. I believe he is very high on the coaches recruiting chart if not their #1 target. High motor, aggressive, and smart at the LB position. Would be another great recruiting win for RR and his staff to get this Ohio kid to represent Michigan. Video goodness included in link. http://www.scoutingohio.com/index.php/view-profile.html?task=userProfil…

Wow his offer list is pretty nuts: Florida, OSU, ND, UM, OSU, Texas, Alabama, LSU... And he's not a five star? weird. Anyway, it says on rivals he has "high" interest in Texas.

Not good with the potential-to-be-great. Not a safety who projects as a Coverage MIKE. Not a JUCO from Kansas (sorry Austin). We need a Jelani. We need a Barkevious. I'll even take one with a normal name.

Say it ain't so 60. You are willing to compromise your standards on having a kid with a name that strikes fear into the heart of the opponent just by the mere mention of it for a kid with talent?... Oh say it ain't so...say it ain't so. (Shakes fist defiantly at the sky and whatever name Gods there might be) DAMN YOU NAME GOD FOR NOT GIVING US A KID WITH A NAME WE CAN CLEVERLY MAKE PUNS OUT OF! lol Honestly I am with you 60. I just want kids that can play.

..but my point was that because TX fills so quickly that there could be a chance that his position fills quickly. That is, as you stated, TX will keep the position open for him. Since I am not sure of how TX recruiting position by position looks, he could be a Texas lock or silent verbal for all we know. But as RR says, recruit to the bell. Ya never know.

From what I've heard, Hicks has visited Texas' camp already. Will Muschamp is his recruiter and has already visited Hicks. The kid was originally from the South but moved to Ohio very recently. I'd say Texas is the heavy favorite.
