1993 Rose bowl Michigan vs. Washington on BTN now

Flipping through the channels on tv brought me to this instead of Planet of the apes (which i personally find quite creepy). It's always nice to watch some MIchigan football. Grbac, Wheatley, and Toomer to name a few players on this team.

'92 was the first year I followed the team and looking back on it, I can't say there's been a more loaded squad here since (with '97, '99 and '06 being the closest in talent/experience levels).

When I watch this game, I'm struck by how good of a coach Moeller was (and how unfortunate it was that he didn't get to coach longer here). He wasn't just some gatekeeper for Bo's program. He had his own vision and in just his third year, had his more sophisticated version of a pro-style offense firing on all cylinders.

The one and only U-M bowl game I've attended. I have (fruitlessly) tried to convince my that this qualifies me as a good luck charm who should be sponsored to attend EVERY bowl game.

Watching that game makes me grateful for instant replay.  Washington was gifted a TD when the receiver clearly fumbled before he crossed the goal line.
