The only senior in the starting 10 is 197 pound Anthony Biondo. This team is very good and very young with some pretty good kids redshirting. Also, the #3 rated in-state recruit in the junior class is Jordan Thomas of Greenville (2x finalst, 1x champ in his first two years) who is already committed. The in-state junior class is...LOADED...so hopefully we land some good kids there. Future is bright for the grapplers, ladies and gents.

Thomas is 3rd in the state, but like 18th nationally. It is a ridiculously loaded class. Hopefully a certain middleweight from around east lansing decides to go south a little. But not too much.

The toughest without a doubt will be Iowa. Fucking Iowa, they're so good at wrestling every year that anything less than a championship is basically a failure!

The assistant coach no my HS wrestling team was an iowa grad (wrestler, obviously)  Tough and intense doesn't begin to define him... add crazy as well.  As a mediocre (slightly above .500) HS wrestler back in the early 80's I have a lot of respect for what they go through. What an intense sport.

And for most teams. Iowa beat psu already, but psu matches up better with michigan and most top teams than iowa. Cornell should win the national title this year though, they have more potential champs than anyone, and are built to dominate a tournament set up like NCAAs.
