SEC Media Day

Submitted by alabluema on

Today is SEC media day. All the SEC coaches are meeting at the Winfrey Hotel in Birmingham. Apparently everyone wants a picture of Tim Tebow -- the cameramen, I hear, are like paparazzi waiting for a pic of Angelina Jolie.

I just heard an intervie with Urban Meyer. The radio guys who interviewed him asked questions like "have you ever seen a conference with this much brain power stalking the sidelines," and "can it still be fun to coach in this conference, with such an intense and obviously supeior group of teams with such incredibly superior talent" etc. Unbelievably self-congratulatory.

But I wonder, for real, if the SEC is really that superior a conference. Would anyone take LSU over USC right now, for example? Or Florida over Texas?
