WTKA Roundtable 2/21/2019: The Delany Certainty Principle Comment Count

Seth February 21st, 2019 at 12:37 PM

Things discussed:

  • Charles Matthews held his man scoreless in this game, he and X decided to switch on Cowan.
  • Scoring goes as the threes fall: there's something off with Teske.
  • X is doing some offensive coaching
  • DeJulius has some suddenness about him. He's going to be an elite off the dribble three-point shooter, can be the microwave next year.
  • Yaklich: "What gets measured gets done." Corollary: what isn't measured isn't appreciated, i.e. Michigan's defense has kept them in every game.
  • The Delany Certainty Principle: If there's a way to screw Michigan, they'll do it.
  • Graham Couch and Ed Feng agree: Matt McQuaid over Charles Matthews.
  • Effect of the Ward injury?
  • Credit to Turgeon for a really great play at the end.
  • The committee: who's a one seed, how much should they value resume versus how good the team is?

There's nothing wrong with Teske.  He's a sensitive kid (great for humanity, not great for basketball) who can shoot but struggles with his confidence at times.  He had a bad game, it was all mental, the end.  Hopefully he forgets about it, as he should.
