I’m really looking forward to see how Baseball does in regionals. Considering he lost Fetter, who is working wonders in Detroit, especially with Mize and Skubal and the bullpen, Bakich has done a really good job this year.

i really wish that whichever of the guys is supposed to be the hockey expert would have taken an opinion on any of the good and valid hockey questions that were brought up in the first segment

I think in many ways Alex knows a lot more about hockey than I do. So, a lot of time, I defer to him. Although, I think in the last few years, I've learned a lot.

Anyway, I thought I stated this on air, but if I did not...I am definitely against most/all of the After the Whistle Nonsense (same with in any sport). I am most definitely against the dirty play, high hits, and especially "gooning up" a game in which you cannot athletically compete. The 3rd period of Col/VGK is a good example of what I was talking about in that regard. But I've also seen it in many other games and sports, etc. I am for major penalties, suspensions, and bans on consistent participants. I do not find those areas of sports compelling or necessary. Play the game, get better, or get out and let someone who can, do it.

I'm with Alex with ambivalence on hockey goonery. I make no attempt to process who are the "true" fans or what is best for the game. Some like fighting, some like perfect passing and technique, and I suppose the NHL should only care if revenues and audiences are increasing.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
