We've rebooted with David Nasternak and Alex Drain

This Podcast Has a Sponsor: Michigan Law Grad Jonathan Paul is the guy with the C you want skating next to the ref and pleading your case. He's also a good guy to sit next to at the hockey games.

1. The TEAM

starts at 0:57

Beecher and York give Michigan some nice pieces to start with. The next six forwards are all interchangeable. Optimistic about Ciccolini's upside? Mel likes how Lambert is playing. The Moyle-GVW-Raabe line could help close out games. Really good group of returning defenders and Strauss Mann is a dude. Maybe the best recruiting class in college hockey history? Kent Johnson, Thomas Bordeleau, Matt Berniers, and Brendan Brisson are all pretty much the same: blue chip recruits who can skate, playmake, handle the puck, and score. All would have been the top playmaker on last year's team. It's crazy that Philippe LaPointe and Josh Groll are reserve pieces. Owen Power is a unicorn and not going to the WJC and Jacob Truscott should be fine. Will Erik Portillo get to play?

2. THE ENEMY, and Feelings

starts at 55:59

The schedule is weird. Midweek games now! A lot of games in short amounts of time! Michigan should be close to the top of the B1G. ASU is now an honorary member and they're a legit program. Wisco still has talent and a new goalie but do we really believe that they will be better coached? Notre Dame is still Notre Dame, probably another treading water year. PSU lost everybody, Michigan should light up the scoreboard against them. Minnesota is the other contender for the top in the conference with everyone back. OSU resets a bit, MSU still trying to dig out of a decade-long chasm. Feelings? Contend for the B1G, make a run in the tournament, this program is on the right track
