About the Featured Musician

image

Shadow Show (Website, Spotify) was recommended to me by the first band I featured this year. They're a three-woman psychedelic garage outfit based in Detroit. Song choices:

  • Shadow Box
  • Contessa
  • What Again is Real (Acoustic version)

Also because Across 110th Street will get our Youtubes taken down, the opener and outro:

  • “The Employee is Not Afraid”—Bear vs. Shark
  • “Ruska Vodka”—Motorboat

THE USUAL LINKS:

Just score a goal. A touchdown. A scoredown. Touch a scoredown!

Don’t know why I’m commenting this before Game #12 but:

Whats the logic of doing the next games preview BEFORE the previous game recap?

I absolutely love the MGoPodcasts but this always seems bizarre to me. Similar to how I like to read the UFRs before the FFFFs. Those I can understand being on different schedules because of different authors but it seems it would be exceedingly easy to just switch the podcast segments to do them chronologically.

I don't believe Corum is seriously injured. I believe JH is a nutcase, and he was absolutely willing to lose Illinois to keep a 99% player out. I put the chance he told Corum to fake that knee injury at higher than 0%.

This team is purpose-built to beat OSU, just like we were last year. We're going to win this game.

It's not completely crazy.  Some players are dirty and will go after a known injury, and jolting pain that causes an RB to drop the ball is impossible to hide.  I'm actually kind of ambivalent on this; you don't want to end anyone's career (glares at a few B1G programs) but football is a game where hard hits and pain are part of the game.  If you're desperate to slow down an All-American caliber running back, you go Cobra Kai and sweep the leg.

But I do agree that Harbaugh was prepared to lose against Illinois to improve his odds against OSU.
