Any word on Preferred Walk-Ons?
Aside from FB Joey Kerridge and the possibility of OT Graham Glasgow does anyone have info on likely preferred walk ons that we are pursuing? Scout has had several unranked "prospects" pictured on the front page of late including Trotwood QB Marcus Graham so perhaps these are possibles(one more Graham and I get a free cracker).

No new word on my end, but I would love if we got Glasgow. He sounds like an absolute beast.

Why can't an ABSOLUTE BEAST get a scholarship offer?

Because he didn't play high school football until his senior year.
Could be an Antonio Gates. Who knows?

Antonio Gates was athletic enough to get a scholarship in another varsity sport at his school, and to start in the NCAA tournament.
This Glassgow kid looks like he might have trouble making a block three yards downfield.

Probably because that absolute beast has only played football for one year. It is impressive enough getting preferred walk-on offers at the BCS level after only playing for a year.

He's 6'7 in the upper 200's, but has only played football for one year...

Talking about Glasgow, didn't he come up for a visit this last weekend? Maybe I am mistaken but I thought he was going to. If he did, I wonder how it went and what he thought.

He was here last week for an unofficial visit and was offered the preferred walk on slot. He has the same option at tosu and Minny - tempting to give him a scholarship as we are so thin (pun intended) at OT and DT.

I was thinking about this subject today (and not to hi-jack the thread)....
Walk-ons today are thought of in much higher regard than my day. We were sort of looked upon like we had 3 arms and various other afflictions. The programs and media guides would designate walk-ons with a *. Among those outside the program, walk-ons were considered some sort of second class citizens.
Now, kid's get official visits (although I DID get invited up for a game, albeit Northwestern), star ratings, and multiple offers. Times have certainly changed for the better in that regard.

It depends how old you are. I remember Michigan stockpiling players when scholarship limits were 105 (maybe more?) and walk-ons never saw the field. I remember scholarship all-state players not seeing the field in the early 1970's.

For coming off mightier than thou in other posts, this one makes you look like a grade A asshole...

You could see the meltdown starting. This post was the tipping point....

I suppose you're right.
I'm just a bit unsure as to where this "your momma" quip came from, did I miss something?...seemed unmerited and a little random.

Hey Adam, you been chatting up the kiddies on Twitter lately?
