Who in the hell comments on a kid's grades like that? If he is a D student, let the NCAA take care of it, which I am sure they will once he picks a school.

If he passes the clearinghouse there is no way he is not admitted into any of those 3 schools.

Whichever school he chooses to go to (South Carolina in all likelihood), they'll find a way to get him eligible. Even if that means getting him "diagnosed" with a learning disability, which I've heard is a probability. Isn't that how Michael Oher got into Ole Miss?

I see that his high school coach said that he'd "bet a million dollars" that Clowney would qualilfy.

In the SEC, that might just be a bet that a well-placed coach or booster could cover.  And win.

If there was a kid who could be one-and-done he would be the LEADER.  When the NFL fails this year watch how it trickles down to the college ranks in football.  Corp. doesnt want to pay when they can get a kid that is 18(kolbe, james, numberus others).  Most hate the over signing, but in reality its them or the Pros.

But you don't go on the record and say your student has a lot of D's on his transcripts.  I have a feeling the Hargraves coach is about to be out of a job or reprimanded pretty soon.  I know it's a violation to do it in NCAA, but there's gotta be a similar rule in High School, no?

The sec will make sure to use enough grease to get this D Challenged student into a Sec School, even if they have to use the grease out of Mike Slive's own vehicle.   Sec Academics, a JOKE.

“A lot of D’s on there,” Hargraves coach Troy Davis told the paper, adding that Clowney’s transcripts are similar to others who have enrolled at his school.

Makes sense since the kid is a "D" end!
