Why is Recruiting Board so out of date?
I won't belabor the obvious, but the MGo Recruiting Board for 2011 still shows Hart as being a commit. It's one thing not to list Bellomy as a commit at QB, that happened 12 hours ago. But, really.
So why is the board even there, if no one is updating it. I know TomVH has way better things to do, like, actually talking to recruits and satisfying all of our collective needs for instantaneous info on Hokemania / Mattingmania. But surely someone else could be updating it, there would only be like 500 people who'd offer to do it if Brian/Tim/Tom asked.
RELATED QUESTION: Is anyone else finding that the recruiting updates now fuels an incessant need to hit F5 every 30 seconds for all 24 hours of the day, which we developed during the coaching search? After Feb. 2, what will cause me to keep F5'ing the website??? (Nothing basketball-related, surely.)

It probably would be a good idea for somebody else to take it over. Tim and Brian have never really made it a priority, for whatever reason. And really, as the blog has grown in size, I can see where Brian would have bigger fish to fry.
I nominate DGDestroys if he's interested.

Ha! This is going to be like my golf league where whomever doesn't show up for the league meeting at the end of the year gets elected as president for the following year. We have a nomination and a second, I say we vote quick before he catches on. I vote yes.

Yes! He'd be a good candidate.

as a candidate Magnus? You may be abrasive but you know your stuff when it comes to evaluating talent. I always look for your comments on recruits because they are usually fair and not sugar coated.

Thanks for the compliments.
I think I have too many irons in the fire right now, though, with my commitments to Touch the Banner as well as Maize 'n' Brew. I wouldn't want to be responsible for keeping up to date on a third site. Besides, I already have a recruiting board-type thing at Touch the Banner, which I keep updated fairly well.
Besides, I'm pretty sure Tim hates me, so he probably wouldn't want me horning in on his territory, anyway.

What about BKFinest, he seems to have the inside scoop on everyone!

It's a technology issue that updates to it don't come through properly. Go to the recruiting board, and re-sign in to your MgoAccount in the left column. That should fix the issues.
The only running backs currently on the board are Hayes, Trayion Durham, and Thomas Rawls, and it's been that way since Monday at the latest (Hart hasn't been on it for a couple weeks).

The tables are relatively up to date; the lead-in text is woefully dated ("Hart now in the fold" "Watkins looks promising", "Zettel should come", etc.) The biggest problem for me is that none of the status icon graphics load, so there are no visible indicators of commitment likelihood.
