(How) Does Joe Milton's commitment help with 2018 recruiting

Does this move the needle in any appreciable way?  Open the door for any recruits who may not be giving Michigan serious consideration?

What I'm more interested in Milton's commitment is the future long term effects of what this means on how Harbaugh will run his offense.

When Harbaugh was first hired, we expected a return to "Manball" paired with lots of pre-snap moving akin to what Stanford did to VT in the Orange bowl.  The re-hiring of OL coach Frey, addition of Hamilton, emphasis on WR recruiting, and general Sam Webb camp chatter makes me wonder what type of offense we will see.  Recruits have been told that they expect to see more spread elements in the offense and Milton is by-far the biggest dual-threat QB, Harbaugh has signed.  WTKA has noted on their show that Hamilton was particularly influential on Milton choosing Michigan.

Considering the emphasis on dual-threat QBs and *dual* QBs this recruiting cycle, I wonder if Jim is hoping to move closer to what he ran with Kaepernick than what he ran with Luck.

I think Harbaugh is assembling a team with QBs that can succeed against any defense. If we need a Kaepernick type against a team, we have one. If we need a pro-style pocket passer we have him too. The parts become interchangeable to fit the scenario.

I'm not concerned about the talk of his accuracy being questionable. Again, it could be his receivers. From the film I watched on Hudle he looked pretty damn accurate to me. Moreover, he's throwing it downfield 40-50 yards on the run, which is also impressive. I like him better than DTR, who doesnt have a lot of film because he played backup. I cant wait to see him, Peters and especially McCaffrey. If McCaffrey is as fast and athletic as his brother, he will be exciting to watch.

Prediction: We beat OSU this year, make the playoffs and get spanked by Bama. The following year we beat OSU again and win it all. It's official folks, We are back!!!!
