Michigan Has Given Nine Different Opponents Their Worst Loss of the Season
Michigan whupped Nebraska by 36 points tonight, which was by far the Corrnhuskers' worst loss of the season. The committee should take note that U-M has given NINE different teams their worst loss of the year:
Marquette - 18 points
SMU - 22 points
Kennesaw State - 27 points
Central Arkansas - 44 points
Maryland Eastern Shore - 49 points
Indiana - 30 points
Michigan State - 29 points
Purdue - 12 points
Nebraska - 36 points
When we beat you, we beat you BAD.
Yes, that's another one.
I don't remember OSU as much. Maybe it's just one of those weird things like Frank Mason has been at Kansas for 19 years that you assume. But whenever the BTT kicks off, it's Michigan at noon against Illinois no matter what year.
Shows their ability to close out opponents perhaps. Feel a little better this year when they have a lead that they'll keep it until the end.
I wish we could have spread some of those points around to a few other games.
I'd have settled for giving NW and Minn their closest losses of the season instead.
The variance with this team in probably the highest I've ever seen it at. When they're on, they are ON. They can beat anyone in the conference, and beat them handily. I'd venture to say that at this team's best they can compete with any team in the country, from Villanova on down to Rutgers.
But when they're off, man are they off. This isn't a team that can still win a lot of games when it has an off night. Let's just hope that they can win a couple games in the BTT and carry some momentum into the Big Dance. I'm praying like hell they can win at least 2-3 games in the BTT and get off that 8/9 line.
We're the Best!
I get a little overwhelmed during close games, so my heart and blood pressure sends thanks to the team.
