Shafer resigns
I was kinda surprised to see this, I guess the speculation on here wasn't baseless.

I guess we can move on to speculating about a replacement now.

I kinda think he meant Jelani Jenkins. The guy who plays defense and who doesn't have a dad on the coaching staff. But, maybe he meant Jeremy Jackson.

we have a coordinator already set aside and are just waiting for an announcement. I don't think it's going to be from within.
Tossing a name out there Greg Mattison, just for sh!ts and giggles.

Did you really shit and giggle when you typed Greg Mattison's name?
I'm gonna try it.

I think RR had his mind set on running the 3-3-5. He should have never hired Shafer if that is the case. I think there will be an internal promotion to DC or bringing in a DC who runs the 3-3-5.

Says it's 60/40 Shafer ends up at LSU.

Dandy Don said it's 60/40 that peanut butter is in fact made from peas.

In his defense, it just might be in the south.

in their right mind would "resign" in an economy like this?
December 16th, 2008 at 5:12 PM ^
Like I said, I bet he was nudged out the door. They just say "resigned" to save the face of the exiting coaches.

Brady Hoke just got his salary tripled. I don't think the economy problems have hit coaches just yet.

Point taken

If Coach Rod brought all these coaches with him, I sure as hell can't see him firing any of them-promises had to be made to get them to come with him to Michigan. With Coach Schaffer leaving, I expect to see Coach Rod promote from within the coaching ranks at Michigan or bring in a Coach He has worked with in the past. For Michigan to bring in any big name coach, one would think that he would also bring in his own staff-this won't happen at the expense of firing any coaches that came with Coach Rod.

I really want a rating system for some of you.
Rhoads? Chavis? I only hopes he doesn't hire from the staff.. unless Hopson is a diamond in the rough...

Faith. Keep the faith.
I don't believe this was a sudden decision. This change is all part of a master plan.
And it WILL be good. THIS IS MICHIGAN.
