OT: Plane kills jogger...and we think our luck is bad.
Talk about your all time dong punch!

In my circle of friends I have always been considered the unlucky one. I will never complain about being down on my luck again. Seriously.
"I've got a lot of issues going on right now. I've got a plane that's all torn up. And I've got a young man that I killed."
I'm sure the guy is upset, but I wouldn't consider a busted up experimental plane much of an issue given the severity of the second outcome of this accident.
I once almost got hit by a golf ball when I was jogging past my city's municipal course, but nothing that compares to this....wow.
week after next. I won't be wearing my headphones on the beach.
Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
so enjoy.
I guess the headphones are ok, I just need to look over my shoulder every so often.
where people might be? I know it said he couldn't see, but he saw the beach...this sounds to much like those morality questions, you are the engineer on a train that can't stop, do you hit the girl on track one for sure or do you flip the switch and take your chances with track two that heads into the city?
HE would know what to do
That just sucks. He is working out trying to take care of himself and then... sucks... nothing else to say
Yeesh...sometimes I'm worried about jogging alongside the road because there are cars and whatnot driving by. Even when you run on the sidewalk, there's a chance someone could lose control.
But I've never been concerned about running on the beach more than "I hope I don't step on a jellyfish."
That's sad.
in perspective
Losing to Appy State is another story though.
Your heart goes out to the victim's family. There really is nothing you can take away from such a freak occurrence except that, I guess, you should always be vigilant when you are running.
But it does put our everyday complaints in focus.

This is why I don't jog
Poor jogger. Is it true he was a Michigan fan?
