10 wins in consecutive seasons: 1st time since 2002/2003

Submitted by Eye of the Tiger on

I realize that a lot of us are downgrading our expectations right now, given the last two performances and Speight's injury, but we did get our 10th win today. That makes 2015/2016 the first time we've won 10 or more wins in consecutive seasons since 2002/2003.

Though it's not a conference championship, CFP appearence or even a win over OSU, this is still a sign of how much things have changed since Harbaugh came to Ann Arbor. Think about it: since the last time we won 10 games in consecutive seasons, the following Big 10 Teams have done it at least once: MSU, OSU, PSU, WIsconsin, Iowa.

So this is a pretty significant sign that we're back in the thick of things, and hopefully there to stay. And that, at least, is something to be thankful for.

until the 4th quarter. PSU won 39-0. Wisconsin also had a very good game. We did badly because we don't have a backup QB that is even passably playable, for reasons which continue to elude. Harbaugh has had lots of time to coach O'Korn, Morris, Malzone, Peters, and 7-16 for 59 yards, at home, against a very mediocre opponent, is the best he could get out of that group? That's not very encouraging going forward.

.833 is outstanding, given that most thought we'd finish between 7-6 to 9-4.  Kudos to JH, the rest of the coaching staff and of course (quoting Bo Schembechler) the TEAM, the TEAM, the TEAM!
