OT: Your Favorite CFB Rules Reminders
Almost like clockwork, each and every game no matter if it's the Big Ten Network or ESPN, the announcers feel the need to remind us about rules that we've heard 90 times. What are some of your favorites?
For me, there's two right off the top:
1) "For those of you who don't know, when the player hits the pylon with the football, it is indeed a touchdown."
2) Explaining college football overtime, even if it's Week 10 of the season. "Both teams will get a chance to score. Remember folks, this isn't like the NFL overtime."
I'm sure I'm missing a ton!

On almost all goal line reviews...
"Remember, it's where the ball is when his knee touches the ground"
Every single time

Kirk Herbstreit (sp?) is always - ALWAYS - pointing out how a DB got called for pass interference right then because his head wasn't turned around. Loves explaining how if the DB is looking for the ball, the refs usually let some contact go. Ugh we get it!

"If an SEC team loses, it does not really count."

Did anyone else notice the commentators referencing the point spread? Something like, "The only real question now is will Michigan win by more or less than 41?" They also talked about it during Gameday and twice during the game.
I don't remember ever hearing as much RE: Vegas in a telecast before.

Why is the pylon a touchdown anyway? I mean, it is completely outside of the endzone.
Also, apparently you can fumble forward to a teammate for a game winning overtime touchdown. I'm not happy that is allowed.
