There are...
...(57) days until Maynard Morrison (wherever he may be, if you believe in the afterlife) watches Jim and his staff lead this team to a dominating win against Hawaii.
Maynard primarily played fullback and center (and apparently linebacker) from 1929 to 1931. Harry Kipke was his coach and, according to him, Maynard was the fastest linebacker he had ever seen (see Wikipedia link). In 1931, Maynard was chosen as a first team All-American for the center position and helped lead the Wolverines to a Big Ten Championship.

The picture on his Wikipedia page does not show him in the 57 jersey, but everywhere else I have seen, that is the number listed by his name.

pad level to me.
Well, not everywhere is he 57 - he's in the front row, middle, holding the ball.
And thanks for not using Frank Clark.
Maybe Adam Kraus?
That is odd. Perhaps his freshman year he wore 13. I don't know. I saw on MGoBlue.com somewhere that had him listed as 57.
Maybe he was wearing a Legends jersey /s
