2017 GA RB commit Kurt Taylor transfers from Newton Co. to Grayson HS

Says he wants to graduate early and compete for a championship.  Both jobs done with this move.  Grayson's program is much better than Newton's, at Georgia's highest level of high school football.  It's also worth noting that Newton County schools do not have a early graduation program, while Gwinnett County schools do.

Bottom line for Michigan is Kurt Taylor will go up against the best high school competition Georgia has to offer (in addition to a clash with IMG Academy in Grayson on August 26) this 2016 football season, and it looks like he'll be in Ann Arbor by the spring of 2017.

That's not what I said, champ. I said those are typically not the people who are looking for MGoStreetCred, so maybe it shouldn't be dismissed immediately. There are others in the past with similar profiles who have, believe it or not, turned out to be legit.

You can choose to believe it or not. But we don't need to be assholes to everyone who shares something, even if we don't like what they have to say.

an opinion means nothing if there is nothing to back it up. if we were all sitting in a room together, face to face, and you would get called out for saying stupid shit you would be much more carefull about what you claim to know.

If we were in a room together, face to face, and a guy said "I talked to a coach and he said _________ about Player X," I don't think people would have responded in the way they did. Face to face, only true assholes would say "Tell us your source or you're full of s***" or "Do you like making s*** up?" I've never been in a social situation where I felt the need to respond to someone in that way.

I live in Atlanta and I can tell you first hand that there is no place in the country with better football than Gwinnett County. I put Gwinnett up with the LA area and all the Florida power areas. Georgia is now up to 7 classifications (I personally hate that 7 teams get to say they're state champions). The move to 7 classifications is larger due to Gwinnett County's overly populated schools. Most Gwinnett schools have over 4,000 students and between freshman JV and Varsity 300+ kids will play football at these schools. The talent and competition is ridiculous. If Harbaugh wanted to choose one area in Georgia to make inroads, it would be metro Atlanta, specifically Gwinnett. Hopefully This move can help us recruit the Gwinnett schools. If you remember Grayson is the school that produced the Nkemdiche brothers and dozens of other top level college players.

I read earlier that KJ Hamler from OL St. Mary's is transferring to IMG for his senior season. It looks like he and Kurt will be going head to head in late August.

I said this before in another blog that Michigan needs to give KJ a second look and make him a priority. After watching him in The Open Regional trials and camps, he was very very impressive. a smooth route runner, speed, and great hands. He' a polished athlete with great character traits and seems to be well raised. He seems like an easy Michigan fit.

I'd hate to see him go to one of our rivals like OSU, Sparty, or Bala-ama and burn us when we could have had him with the good guys.

Any chance they can change his mind if they did the ol James Brown Please, Please, Please . . .  I know we are deep at receiver but he looked better than any slot receiver we have had in over 5 years.

Maybe he feels a little gilted by not getting the attention Josh Ross and the others in the area are getting???  IMG see's something in him.
