as bad as donnal was on D, DRob getting outscored by 10 by edwards sealed our fate.  we needed someone, anyone, to light it up from 3 today.

Make a few more good looks for 2 and it's a tighter game. Not going to change this. We are stuck with bombing upwards of 30 3s a game. Didn't do enough little things that win games. Like make layups.

What killed UM was that Robinson just doesn't have his legs under him.  I think the transition to D1 league play really wore him down; defenses definitely compensated a bit, but he's been off shooting for a while now.  My hope is that with a year more to develop and really get accustomed to the grind, he'll be able to hold up more, which would really help.  This season looks much different if he can keep his shooting up a bit more during the conference slate.

Everyone keeps talking about the grind wearing down Robinson, but lower-level teams like Williams regularly play 2 games in 3 days (like Friday-Sunday) to avoid missing classes. Big Ten teams never have that short a turnaround except during the tournament.

I think Robinson's issue is just about whether he's up to this caliber of play.

The committee will definitely consider the injuries. We just don't have enough depth, too much youth as well. Considering all of that we still have enough quality wins and no bad losses to get in. And another thing, enough with the bashing of the players/coaching. Some of you don't understand how much better Purdue is right now, they have the size advantage, skill, and on top of that all of their big men are seniors. We just don't have the players to back it up right now, but I love the effort and at the end of the day I do believe we are IN.

I'm wondering if Swanigan sticks around.  Not that he's a lock or anything to leave, but he was a big-name freshman big man and you could see him being swayed by a good draft report.

Pretty split set of opinions here.. I'd like to know why someone doesn't have the right to voice their displeasure over Michigan basketball and their inconsistencies?? You want to argue all the pro-JB cases that's fine but if you can't pay attention to the views of more than 50% of the fan base, you better take a look in the mirror. Beilein is on shaky ground, no doubt and with the new AD coming in he has an even tougher case.

I pay attention and think that the more than 50% - not sure where you got that, but whatever - are out of their fucking minds if they think Beilein should go.

Who, pray tell, would Michigan want and possibly get?

Beilein is one helluva coach. People better be careful what they wish for.

Do you pay attention?? Go scroll through the posts and keep calling everyone else an idiot. There are 68 teams potentially ahead of Michigan this year, by the rest of the nations view so if you can't understand people's frustrations then maybe you should look into it a bit farther. You can blame injuries and whatever else you would like but bottom line is we need to be more consistent.

Michigan looked small today against Purdue.  Granted, three games in three days is tough but still the physical mismatch down low is a tough nut to crack.  If you're going to be consistently smaller than the opposition then you need to be fast, offensively efficient, play scrappy D and have a bunch of guys that can drill outside jumpers at a high percentage.  The D was decent except against their big men.  The score looked respectable for some brief moments but there was a constant feeling that they were just going to pound us down low and pull away.  And they did.
