Mack Brown gives Harbaugh an A+

Submitted by The Mad Hatter on

Former Texas coach Mack Brown, now a college football analyst for ESPN, gives Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh high marks for all he's done since he was hired the end of last year, even without having coached a game.

"I follow him on Twitter, I watched everything he's done with satellite camps and his confidence, and I think you have to give him an A-plus from the time he's taken the job until now," Brown said.

"The biggest question is to get that quarterback, the right guy, to play consistently well and get the ball to the right people. It'll be fun to watch Michigan especially in that opener."

"As far as how quickly he can get it turned, he's already gotten it turned with momentum, and that's something that was difficult for Brady at the end because people turned on him and media were more difficult for him,"

Obviously the games have not happened yet, perhaps the one thing we definitely want to see next, but he's right in the sense that the culture of the program and the passion around the program have been revamped and made better by everything that Harbaugh is done. It also helps that he did inherit some talent that just needs someone to develop it - that for me will be one of the things to watch in the coming weeks, to see how many players look markedly better and look like they are now in positions where they can excel.

In the article, Mack specifically says his A+ is based on what Harbaugh has done to this point ...specifically citing the satellite camps, use of social media and overall energy injected into the program and fanbase.

And I for one am glad that a former US President is on board with HARBAUGH!!

have you noticed that he never has asked any of those clever pointed questions in person to harbaugh  like he did to hoke? he knew he could make hoke stammer and stutter with any stupid question he would throw up there just to make himself look smart. sharp knows damn well harbaugh would make him look like a fool so he keeps his mouth shut.

Brown can keep his A+. Coming from a coach of a bygone era who hasnt accomplished squat compared to JH despite getting the top kids from the most talent rich area of the country.
Thanks mack, but stick it.
