Hopefully we get a commitment or two. Rashan Gary is the main attraction along with Davis, Upshur, Mitchell, and Hill

other hand is a bit odd. The BBQ is next Sunday.
Yup August 2nd
Maybe he's going to have the First Official MGoBlog BBQ at his house.
Can we have directions Dennis?
Remember it is in the backyard. You don't need to go through the front door. Be aware of neighbor's bad dog.It barks all the time.
It is WD's 20th birthday today, maybe he is throwing him a BBQ birthday party....
If not, again Happy Birthday WD!
WD mentioned it another thread yesterday, IIRC in the Saturday Night Drinking thread.
RR did a lot of good things here. The only thing he did wrong was not to win a lot of games.

As long as we're listing all the bad things (and only allowing one good thing to be noted), I'll toss in a few to balance it out:
He also recruited Taylor Lewan, Michael Schofield, Jake Ryan, Jeremy Gallon, Desmond Morgan, and Devin Gardner, among others. He developed David Molk on his way to winning the Rimington (after Rodriguez left). He helped develop Brandon Graham into a 1st round pick. He increased the win totals by 2 games each year and built the foundation for Brady Hoke's 11-2, Sugar Bowl-winning season.
Totally agree with this.
It's also hilarious to me when Spartan fans bring up App State because the team that lost to them beat MSU, coached by Mark Dantonio, on the road, in East Lansing.
That loss was not nearly as bad as the loss to Appalachian State. We were expecting to be national championship contenders in 2007, and we lost to an FCS team. Regardless of what expectations were for 2008, it was a bad team without much talent that (if you subtract the Toledo loss) was still 3-7. Only six players accounted for more than 100 yards of total offense, nobody rushed for more than 533 yards, and nobody caught more than 433 yards of receptions.
I shrug my shoulders at the Toledo loss. It was a bad loss in Michigan's worst season during my lifetime. The loss to Appalachian State is widely regarded as one of the biggest upsets in college football history.

*3-8
I see your point, but RR was fired because he NEVER won the big game. We kept improving by beating the teams we should, but never once did we beat someone who was a power. Furthermore, the inability to field a functional defense at any time during his tenure suggests that he wouldn't have got to the 11 win mark that Hoke did in his first year.
Overall, a bad loss is just one game. A bad 4 years with little suggestion that he would ever field a long term winner imo is a greater blotch
