BTN Poll: Michigan Has #1 Uniforms In B1G
Poll was comprised of 8 media members from various outlets. Of note is Sean Merriman from BTN who voted Michigan 6th this year and 10th in last years poll. You would think the MSU grad would take his professional opinion a little more seriously and set aside his Michigan bias.

I don't know how they came in 2nd? I think IA would be 2nd with a nice back and gold, and fairly unique helmet. Northwestern would be my 3rd. I even think sparty uniforms are more impressive than OSU's!
The thing about OSU and MSU is that they've had so many different uniforms in recent years. OSU's traditional uniforms would be up there, but they have so many alternates they trot out lately. And MSU seems to change their uniform every couple of years, on top of their alternates. I actually like their current uniforms, but they'll probably be different by next season.
My (quick, dirty, and probably wrong) ranking...
- Michigan
- PSU
- Northwestern
- Maryland
- Wisconsin
- OSU
- MSU
- Nebraska
- Iowa
- Minnesota
- Indiana
- Illinois
- Rutgers
- Purdue
For those wondering why Iowa's uniform didn't rank higher, I'm guessing part of the reason is their current design is one instituted by Hayden Fry and is (with permission) a direct copy in most aspects of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Hawkeye on the helmet, of course, was not copied from Pittsburgh. I think in the future not as many people will remember how ugly Iowa's uniforms used to be nor that their current version was a nearly exact copy of an NFL team's helmet and uniform. It's hard to even find images of Iowa's traditional uniform, but here are some images. In some years the helmet had a script "Iowa" written on them, some years just had a giant "I":
Northwestern shafted again. They have sharp gear and should be in the 3-5 range.
Confused, they wear the exact same uniforms as Wisconsin. The only diffrence is Wisconsin has two red stripes on their helmet and Nebraska used red electrical tape for their logo.
