Wallpaper Season - The Harbaugh (Godfather Theme)
Took some time and did another unhealthy and obsessive Harbaugh wallpaper. This time I noticed that one of his press-conference photos had him giving a relatively Godfather-like stare, so I ran with it. I hope you enjoy another off-season wallpaper effort. As always, constructive criticism and/or suggestions are welcome. Go Blue!

But that forhead and face don't fit together. the face should be lightened and the forhead a bit more shadowed.
I agree, the face looks odd. The Paul Bunyan Statue also sticks out a bit.
I also appreciate the effort and it is a great idea.

Though that picture still causes my eye to twitch.
Harbaugh looks ginger.
Yea, the face does look weird, but I still love that pic.
Don't ask me about my recruiting, Kay.
He looks like his face has a huge dent in it, but I don't want to criticize too much, because its far better than anything I could ever do.
When asked if Meyer and OSU are too far ahead for Michigan to ever catch up, Harbaugh looks them square in the eye, while eating an orange, and simply says "You know, you surprise me. If anything in this life is certain, if history has taught us anything, its that you can kill anyone."
"Alright, just consider this Jim; that's all, just consider it. Now Urban and Dantonio are on the run, are they worth it? And are they strong, are they worth it? I mean, you've won. Do you have to wipe everyone out?"
"I don't feel I have to wipe everybody out, Dan, just my enemies."
totally excellent
I was looking for a coach harbaugh michigan attire schedule wallpaper.?

Now THAT is a creative idea...I might try that one out.
Maybe you could make a wallpaper related to the Godfather and Jim Harbaugh each game of the season...
I think that's an ice bucket on the table to Jim's right. Perhaps replace it with a tin of his favorite tobacco??
I love your work, but I'm going to criticize this one because I don't like the concept.
The point of Godfather II is Michael does things with every bit as much competence and more than his father at the same age, as he sees it. He tries to take the Corleone family legitimate AND to new levels of money by trading in the New York racketeering business for casinos in Nevada and Cuba. He tries to be a better father, which he takes as literally defending his family, and figuratively defending his family by not involving them as much as possible in the family businsess.
But where his father builds willing loyalties (e.g. from a local landlord) with his cool geniality, Michael's cold logic and self-centeredness drive both his wife and his surviving brother to betray him. It ends with Vito's family around the table celebrating his birthday and mad at Michael for betraying Vito's wishes re: enlisting in the Army, and Michael sitting in a massive Nevada complex all alone.
It is surely one of the greatest stories told in recent memory, but I find nothing Harbaugh about it. I've made two Godfather MIchigan reference backgrounds--Donovan Warren having Fredo killed, and The Rodfather III for Rodriguez's third season that was conceptually great but undermined terribly by a bit of nepotistic blindness (listening to Gibson = Sophia Coppola). If there's a Harbaugh-like character in here it's probably Vincent Mancini.

I do, however, deeply appreciate your feedback. As I have mentioned before, I do this for two reasons: I love my MGoBrethren and I want to develop my skills both on the technical (aesthetic) and conceptual levels. Good critiques like yours allow me to step back and see that while I enjoyed how it turned out aesthetically, I need to make sure I'm either labeling my pieces as purely such or take more time to develop the concept before committing to the design. Thank you for taking the time to dig that deep. I will definitely keep it in mind for the next "concept" wallpaper design.
