This has been an extremely disappointing day in the Michigan recruiting world.

Not that I much care about a single recruiting cycle, but this absolutely feels like the assistant coaching situation of "Michigan is calling..." followed by the current schools deboubling their efforts and doing whatever they can to keep their guys.
Wish the kid luck, but Michigan can survive losing out on a DB or two in the short term. Also, pulling kids from the West Coast has always been tougher than people seem to think, even though Michigan is better than most at doing so.

I asked Webb about the alleged Samuel visit this morning. He said it was a surprise to him when he heard about it, and he immediately contacted Scout's west coast guy, who said the rumors were unfounded and that Samuel was solid to UCLA. Shortly after that Samuel affirmed that.
With respect to Marshall, Sam said (paraphrasing) "be optimistic, but don't expect Marshall to flip to Michigan." IMHO that's Sam's shorthand code for "he ain't coming here."

I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed by all these swings and misses. :(
