2015 4* QB Zach Gentry - visit in the works?

Submitted by ypsituckyboy on

Per his local paper in Albequerque, it sounds like the 4* QB and current Texas commit may be listening to Harbaugh's overtures after Harbaugh's visit this week. According to some of the Texas sites, Gentry's camp has gone radio silent now, even though they've been pretty quick about shooting down rumors in the past. Couple that with the fact that TA&M commit and 5* QB Kyler Murray made a visit to Texas this week, and there seems to be a fair bit of smoke building.

Article below (even though it references ChatSports...forgive them, for they know not what they do): http://www.abqjournal.com/529755/sports/unhooked-horn-michigans-harbaug…

Back when I did my scouting reports on 2015 quarterbacks, I ranked Gentry at #4 on my list of most desired quarterbacks (LINK). So this would be a pretty good development if Harbaugh were able to flip him from the Longhorns. I think my biggest concern watching his senior film is that the ball doesn't come out on time often enough. If you watch Malzone's film, that kid seems to know the offense inside and out, where the coverages are, etc. Gentry seems to be more of a freelancer.

Not to poo poo this but I didnt see anybody mention it.

Gentry committed to Texas over a year ago and has a longhorn tat on his chest.

Not saying it wont happen or cant happen, but it would be a long shot at best.

I also realize tats can be covered up and am aware of the auburn alabama kid who did the same thing, but Im saying it's not common to get a tat of a school then not attend.
