OT-Toby Gerhart for Heisman

The local radio station here in LA did a long piece on Gerhart for Heisman a few weeks ago where they looked at how often Stanford runs the ball and how often Gerhart gets it. Essentially everybody knows he is getting the rock all the time and nobody has been able to stop him (or even really slow him down). Stanford also doesn't run some wild unpredictable offense to put him in the clear. He is running basic power and isolation plays and nobody is able to stop him. It isn't like this guy is a flash in the pan, he was the leading rusher in the history of California HS football. This Stanford team has a pretty awful defense and a young QB. Gerhart is the only reason they are winning and have pulled off some big upsets this year. Gerhart definitely would get my Heisman vote.

I love the way he runs. He actually reminds me a little of Mike Hart, only bigger. He's not the fastest guy out there, but he finds the holes and fights for every yard. I want him to win the Heisman despite playing for Harbaugh.

Unless McCoy or Spiller do something absolutely spectacular next weekend in the championship games I don't see how you can give the Heisman to anyone by Gerhart.
