Really last in Big Ten?
Everyone keeps saying we're last in the Big Ten. But are we technically? We have the same B10 record as Indiana (1-7), but a better overall record, and we beat them. Shouldn't we be second-to-last? Some people will say "now you're just splitting hairs", and I can see that I would be if it was the difference between 4/5th, 6/7th. But IME, there is definitely a difference between last and not-last. Thoughts?

But if we had to pick the best ten out of the eleven, we'd be ahead of Indiana on the tiebreaker.

Last place is last place....just like Iowa would have tied OSU for first today had we beat the Bucks. They would have gotten their rings too, the Hawkeyes that is.

if the tie breaker applied to anything (like bowl bid); but it doesn't, we're tied for last; if we were 7-1 we'd be co-champs.

not where we want to be. We will get there, we certainly didn't go 1-7 due to a lack of hard work. I have faith, and lots of it.

Who cares about the semantics? We won 1 game in the Big Ten. That's just not good.

Indy means nothing, well I thought that for years, nice to have it validated.

...and then I said to myself, "Who the fuck cares?!" You know you are desperate and reaching for any positive sign, when you are arguing that we aren't technically last because Indiana is tied with us and we beat them head-to-head. It's fucking Indiana. I usually don't remember that they even have a football team unless we are playing them that week.

Look at the bright side only place to go is up.

Who the fuck cares? We suck and we deserve to be in last place based on our play. This team is a good 2-3 years away from competitng for a Big 10 championship, if we'll ever have that in our lifetime again.

We were competing for a big ten title just two years ago..."if we'll ever have that in our lifetime again?" I think you are being a bit overdramatic.
