Hello: Mike and Nick Pastujov (Hockey)
What season are we talking about here? I think that Nick will be a Freshman in 2016/17 and Mike in 2017/18. Do you know?
The idea that we are talking about a recruit who might be playing for Michigan in April 2021 is pretty disturbing...
Werenski is a '97 but he's coming in a year early so he would normally be a 2015-16, thus probably. I'd say potentially -1 if they're elite or +1 if they're 3rd-4th line types, but it seems like these guys are both good
Red still hasn't lost his touch in recruiting.
Its because they all know Mike Babcock is the next coach...
FWIW, Nick was drafted by Saginaw in the 4th round of the 2014 OHL Draft.
The Spirit selected forward Nick Pastujov in the fourth round.
He’s one of the more highly rated American forwards in the draft, but he was passed on by several clubs after committing to play for the United States hockey development program next year. However, [Saginaw general manager Jim] Paliafito is optimistic Pastujov will be heading to Saginaw after that.
Proud to say I've committed to the University of Michigan to play college hockey #goblue pic.twitter.com/5tx0esMjnA

He won't play for Saginaw, neither will Kyle Connor. When the time comes, their rights will be traded for a king's ransom to a team like Sarnia, London or Kitchener.
It's a good sign that they committed together, but we'll see how this plays out over the next two years.
But I am optimistic on Connor:
The next year, Connor led his team in scoring with 53 points in 40 games. 39 of those points came from assists and highlighted his playmaking abilities. At just 15 years of age, Connor committed to the University of Michigan for the fall of 2015.
“Growing up, that was my dream school,” said Connor. “I’m a Michigan football fan and Michigan everything, even my parents are big Michigan fans. When I heard they offered me the scholarship it was a no brainer.”
Yep this hits home because my son is a 00. Yikes.
The twitter seems to be suggesting they're between good and 'elite'. I'm not sure the buzz is akin to what I would normally see for a 1st rounder type but who knows, they're both pretty young. I don't think either has been drafted in the OHL yet, but the younger brother is being suggested as a top 5 '99 for the OHL draft
Edit: From SBNCollegeHockey (which I think is our own WCHBlog)
He was selected in the fourth of the 2014 OHL Draft by Saginaw, though many services had him rated as a first round talent, that slipped due to a commitment to the NTDP and likely college aspirations. In addition to Nick's commitment, his younger brother Michael also committed to Michigan according to multiple reports. Michael played up a year last year, skating with his older brother on the Honeybaked U16 team, and though early, is considered one of the better players in his age group in the country.
