Credit to Phil Coke

Listening to the Tigers in the office today.  We're getting shelled (9-0) in the fifth and the bullpen has gone from great shape at the beginning of the Cleveland series to desperate after yesterday's 13 inning cluster///.  Anyway, Coke got beaten up again last night and is in no shape to pitch today.  He may very well be released very shortly.  But he took the ball to try to eat a couple innings in a lost cause today in an attempt to avoid further damage to the staff.  Credit where it's due.

Corey Knebel was called up and Robbie Ray sent down. Knebel could be a nice shot in the arm, he's cruised through the Minors in just under a calendar year.

After reading that piece posted above on Coke and how he worked to get to the bigs....I cant criticize the guy much any more...gonna take a page out of Bo's old speech "we are not going to criticize each other, we will encourage each other"

I truly hope he finds some movement and location on his ball and starts getting batters out.  A lot of his problems seem to be in his head...he throws plenty hard.
