and it said no tix available. Are you related to DB? ; )
it processed my credit card/ order and then the system said busy please wait, wait, wait, and then after more10 minutes it said it was unsuccessful and kicked me off. F&CK!!
Does anyone really think it is sold out already? I hear the benches will be in the stands so they can make the field as wide as possible. crazy.
Only seats I could get were upper endzone. I used the "Corner" promo. I tried later after some posted here that tickets were still available and couldn't buy a pair anywhere. I think scalpers got them as Stub Hub is loaded with tix a 3x face value.
yeah that is not going to last on stub hub. I wil be surprised if I can't get a ticket for $20.
I abused my donor privileges to buy 2 $45 tickets yesterday. Immediately going up on StubHub.
What a true Michigan Man you are.
yesterday to purchase 17 tickets in the $125 range for a youth soccer team. And yes the limit was 50 tickets.
It will be great to see the best athletes in the world.
This one from Germany is better.
Can't find shit, even with the presale promotion code.
This is really another bad look for the AD. They promised an "exclusive" presale. Obviously, a lot more people than just UM ticket holders and donors knew how to get access.
It looks like the first couple days of sales have gone well. It might be worth keeping in mind the significance of this event if it goes off as planned.
1. The Athletic Department is trying to bring in events outside of the traditional UM events in order to maximize the use of the stadium and of course to generate revenue.
2. IF the game is a huge success and sells well (80-90,000+) then the potential gate (due tot the sliding pricing structure) may well make it BIGGER than any gate in the 2014 regular home football season which lacks a MSU or OSU game. The prices for the good seats between the 40's for example are nearly double or more the typical season ticket price. Because it is an uncommon event, there may be a good out of town crowd taking a small vacation. The restaurants, bars and cafes downtown will also get one more huge Saturday payday. So Ann Arbor business wise may do well.
3. The big international soccer sides now regularly tour areas outside of their home regions in their off season. Manchester United, and others have toured in the US before and in Asia and made money. These sides are literally global brands - and we know branding is one of the mantra of the athletic department. If this goes off well, we might see this as a regular summer event (every 3-4 years) when the big sides tour the US - so we might see Barcelona, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Paris St. Germaine, Roma, Juventus, etc. all here in little Ann Arbor.
I just got mine. Section 33 Row 81. Not a fan of the sport but since it's at the stadium I figured why not.
