You gotta love Michigan footbal Saturdays no matter who they're playing. Here's to a good old-fashioned ass-whooping by M, no injuries, and a lot of playing time for the second-stringers.

I'm not sayin . . . I'm just sayin.
Georgia Tech 222
Cumberland 0
October 7, 1916

Michigan 222
DSU 0
Would not be ugly.
App State was ugly.
Winning never is.
If we win, with no injuries, and the check DSU get clears. it's a beautiful day.
I'm really looking forward to seeing "The Approaching Storm" at halftime.

Since we're just sayin, anyone know the Michigan Stadium single game scoring record?
October 17th, 2009 at 10:23 AM ^
in 1901.
October 17th, 2009 at 10:33 AM ^
Yeah, 26 years before the stadium opened...

85 vs Chicago 1939
And to correct above post, 130 vs MSU (non Big Ten) in 1904, and 107 vs Iowa the same year.

Wow, that record is probably safe today then. Hopefully they're break it against OSU in 2011.

Off the top of my head, I would put the 70 they scored against Illinois in '81 as the most in the last fifty years. Thanks to You Tube, it never gets old. Neither does the moment of silence for Bob Ufer.

Also 69-0 against Northwestern in '75, 70-14 against Navy in '76, 69-13 against Illinois in '86 (I cheated).

THAT's what I am looking for in the 4th quarter. Waiting for him to make a big play and spit a verse.
We may need to be over 50 for that to happen...

I'm hoping he can get in there. Would be nice for him.

I think we all rolled our eyes when this game was officially scheduled a couple months ago, but how glad are we now that we have it today? I hate to count our chickens, but it will be really nice to have an opportunity to regroup today. This game may end up being a VERY important date on our schedule when all is said and done.

was an away game- my bad yet again! UM scored 69 vs several teams at home, but the true stadium record is the 70 they hung on Illinois in '81 and the Navy game in '76. I think I finally have it right now....
