Tray Jackson Transferring to Michigan
Michigan basketball picked up its second guy in the portal in as many weeks, as Seton Hall big Tray Jackson is coming home, UMHoops reported:

The Detroit native is on his third team after playing for Mizzou in 2019-'20 before three years with the Pirates. He was a backup stretch five for Seton Hall last year, but has been a power forward for most of his career, and likely projects there for Michigan.

This isn't a game-changer. Jackson came off the bench both years, though he did start for a stretch in 2023. Despite having to play at center a lot more, and taking on a lot more usage, Jackson slashed his turnover rate last year, but he's not much of a creator. He also got it in the face a bit as a post-up defender last season. A move back to the wing along with his move back to Michigan should see him return to being a plus defender. He's not a spot-up shooter (93% of his threes were assisted) but you do have to guard him out there...

...and he can drive if you come out too far. Synergy doesn't think he's a good finisher, but he does create half of his own points at the rim, either off drives, getting out in transition, or post-ups.
A graduate transfer, Jackson was a 4-star (#85 overall) in 2019, but took a medical redshirt in 2020-'21, so with a COVID shirt he should have two years left to play.
Matt D will get a full scouting post up sometime later. There is no content after the jump.
Welcome, Mr. Jackson!
I'm picking my kids up but we'll get a Caleb Love announcement out soon as well.
Make sure you bend at the knees, keep the lower back straight and don't get a hernia.
I strongly feel Michigan should have at least one Detroit kid on the roster every year.
Jackson - 6'10 Stretch 4 (4-Star)
Burnett - 6'4 PG (4-Star)
Love - 6'5 SG (5-Star)
Who's next?
Welcome back!
Your dreams were a ticket out.
Hope he finds his mojo at Michigan. Does this mean T-Will hits the portal. Anyone think that Dug pulls a Frankie with this Caleb Love pursuit?
Not at all.
I'd think Dug would be happy to have someone to whom he can pass the ball.
Think of Dug as pass first...and Love as score first.
Strange that you have to go elsewhere to find the guyโs actual stats.
"He's not a spot-up shooter (93% of his threes were assisted)"
Umm... doesn't that mean he probably is a spot up shooter?
I haven't watched a minute of Seton Hall basketball, but a guy who is 6-10 and can shoot 40% from 3 can help this team.
PF forced to play C who can shoot 3s and kinda get to the bucket?
I missed Brandon Johns too.
