OT - Finals Week Open Thread

It's Finals Week!

My daughter - 2026 UM Grad - is already home from North Quad.  She'll be taking her final final this Friday from our house.

My son - 2023 UM Grad(!) - also has his final final on Friday.  He's staying up in Ann Arbor in his apartment and will come home some time next week.

How's everyone coping during finals week?  I'm surprisingly relaxed.  It's been relatively smooth four years for 2023 UM Grad.  The adjustment for 2026 UM Grad has been a little more bumpy...but, all in all, she's doing pretty well.

”How to Get an A on Your Irish Lit Final” by S.D. Jones :

  1. Get hammer drunk at Mitch’s the night before.
  2. Wake up five minutes before said exam.
  3. Haul ass to South U on a rusty, child-size Mongoose.
  4. Buy a blue book and pen at the Village Apothecary with money begged off fellow shoppers.
  5. Enter classroom twenty minutes into test bedewed with sweat.
  6. Write with hard-earned insight on the role of alcohol in Ulyssess.
  7. Celebrate end of finals with a cold Natural Light. (Repeat step as necessary.)

My daughter's last final at BU is today, and she'll be home this time tomorrow (assuming she doesn't oversleep and miss her flight!)

It'll be nice to have her home for a month, and she was fortunate to get some hours from her summer job so she can replenish her bank (read: DoorDash) account.
