Would you be interested in Joe Moorhead as a future head coach?
Complete hypothetical scenario:
I'm currently running under the presumption that Harbaugh is coming back and that the rumors of Joe Moorhead to Michigan as a Co-OC with Gattis have some legs under them. Say Harbaugh comes back, makes some right coaching hires, and Michigan is back to a consistent top 10 team as they were early in Harbaugh's tenure. Harbaugh then tries a return to the pros. Would you be interested in elevating Moorhead to head coach and possibly allowing him to maintain the entire staff to maintain consistency in the program?
Basically, I was thinking about how seamlessly OSU transitioned from Urban Meyer to Ryan Day (he essentially kept the entire staff and added some key pieces over the last 2 years) and it made me think of how Michigan hasn't been able to do that since Bo --> Moeller --> Carr. Of course, for that you need a winning identity which Michigan didn't have under Rich Rod and Hoke, but having a consistent program identity over multiple coaches would go a long way in maintaining a winning culture without too much dysfunction during coaching changes.
FWIW, Moorhead was excellent as PSU's OC and did well in his first year at Miss St., but ultimately had some discipline issues with his teams along with a poor culture fit which caused him to be fired after only 2 seasons in Starkville. He's a Pennsylvania native so I imagine if PSU ever moves on from Franklin and Moorhead is still available, he's likely going to be first person they call.

No.
Have we considered Brady Hoke? He did some nice things at Ball State and San Diego State. Also he has some Michigan ties.

I realize this was sarcasm, but Brady was back to his old tricks running a top 5 defense at SDSU this year. Unfortunately, as a HC, he was also back to his old tricks of making head-scratching decisions. The Peter Principle once again validated.
I would actually be 100% behind him as the DC.

When I heard of the Moorhead to OC rumor, I thought this exact thing. That Hatbaugh will finish out the contract, and if the season went well Moorhead would be the successor. Harbaugh and Warde want what's best for program and that might be a good idea as to not repeat when Lloyd left.

I bet a number of people would be interested in Moorhead.

If we are going to bring in Moorhead to work with Gattis, what exactly will Jim's role be with the team. He will have no real input to the offense, and he does not have real knowledge of defense. He's also not the best person to throw in front of the cameras. Why keep him around if it is not his team. Michigan recruits itself quite well, as we discovered during the Hoke years. I'm think if we bring on board offensive guru's then we should release Jim.

Not as HC, no.
He isn't the CEO type personality needed.
Tom Herman would be a better fit to slip into HC role after a run as OC/QB.

Im always interested in Moorhead.
Ill see my way out.

Where is the Moorhead stuff coming from?

Sure! I mean Oregon only lost by double digits to Iowa State. Why not?!

NO to Moorhead as a HC. He failed in much less pressure situation and the last thing we need is disciplinary issues at Michigan.

what the fuck is going on?

"and Michigan is back to a consistent top 10 team as they were early in Harbaugh's tenure"
In Harbaugh's 6 years here we have only finished ranked in the top 10 one time, and that was barely cracking it at 10th in 2016. Every other year we were outside of the top 10 and twice now we have finished outside of the top 25.
