OT: Iowa BB coach shuts down player Twitter accounts

Iowa Hawkeye coach Fran McCaffery told his players to shut down their Twitter accounts for the rest of the season because of Senior Zach McCabe's exchange with some "fans" on his account. 

Interested in people's thoughts on the move and whether its a good or bad move on the coach's part.

Makes sense.  Twitter lets every internet tough guy have his "say" without reprecussions.  Might as well stay above the fray when in the heat of a tourney run.

you can make your page private and limit who has access to you. That's goes for all social media. Also I don't get the hub bub of athletes responding to fans. now I would never follow or tweet at a college athlete nor do I tweet you suck at pro athletes but its disappointing when public figures don't respond to logical tweets or non butt kissing tweets because of the bad apples out there.
