Happy Easter
Wishing all those who celebrate Easter a very happy and wonderful celebration, including Passover and any and all ways you choose to honor this day.
Pulled pork on the smoker, hot coffee in my hand, cilantro lime Cole slaw and cheesey potatoes. Food coma about to ensue.

Happy Easter everyone. Five hours of mass since last night and now it's time for a drink. Or 5.
Not a big fan of ham, this is the 4th best of the main holidays imo
Mass for Holy Thursday, followed by late night adoration.
Good Friday service and veneration.
Easter vigil last night til midnight
Easter Sunday Mass this morning.
I’m feeling real holy and real exhausted. Time to fire up the grill and enjoy time with the nieces and nephews.
He is Risen!
Easter vigil AND Sunday mass? Are you a priest?
Happy Easter amigos and amigas! About to go hit moms crib for some serious grub!
As we say in Italian buona Pasqua !
food in the kitchen today
olives, cheese, bread, egg plant, ham, lamb, shrimp, pasta and Cannolis
Go Blue!
Happy Easter!!
and thoughts and prayers to those in Sri Lanka. For some reason I think this won’t get much air time.
It'll get half the coverage of the Christchurch shootings despite a 4x higher death toll.
The media wants to make it seem like Islamic terrorism isn't a real threat because the Republican party has a much tougher stance on terrorism. The more worried people are about terrorism, the more likely they are to vote for Republicans. Can't have that.
Tell us how you really feel.
Btw, I think both parties hate terrorism.
And yet the Democratic party vigorously opposed the President's proposal to block immigration from countries known to harbor terrorists. Why? Because they care more about getting muslims to vote for them than keeping the country safe.

you might be right, but this isn't the forum to discuss it. though occasionally we'll touch a toe to that third rail of politics, we try to avoid it as much as reasonably possible. recommend keeping it that way. a mild reference here and there won't get anyone's panties in a bunch, but much more than that just isn't worth it.
Wow, just wow.
For these two tragedies, you really needed to bring politics into the discussion, sad.
The news covered the Christchurch shooting for at least a week after it happened. We'll see how long they decide to cover this even more nefarious act. I bet you it's out of the news by Tuesday.

Classy way to show off your Easter spirit by attacking another religion. Bravo.
Happy Easter everyone! God bless you and yours! Or, if you aren't into that kind of thing, good luck with the eggs...
Love and prayers to all. Even MSU and OSU grads.
Happy Easter. Great when people can practice their faith in peace and respect for each other
Great post! So true.
To everyone celebrating Easter, have a wonderful holiday!
And to my fellow Jews, I hope you're enjoying the second day of Passover. It's always nice when the holiday starts on a weekend. We had 35 people for our Seder last night, and 16 for breakfast today enjoying my wife's delicious fried matzah. That included a 9-month old great niece visiting from Chicago. She is the product of a mixed marriage. Her mother (my adorable niece) is a Michigan grad and her father -- a wonderful person -- graduated from MSU. And the baby's grandparents on her father's side went to EMU. The grandfather is no longer living, but the grandmother was here also. We are blessed to have them all in our family.
Love your definition of a mixed marriage.
Happy Easter! May all your bunnies be sweet and soft, and drizzled with chocolate syrup, with fishnet stockings and... oops, wrong forum...
I'm eating the same meal that I'm quite sure Jesus ate at the last supper. Smoked ribs, cornbread, mashed potatoes. Also cheesey potatoes (for the kids. And the grownups who don't get enough mashed potatoes)
Add a cup of wine and you’re good.
If it was like Jesus had, four cups.
Ah but three cups, pace Scott Hahn...
I have decided to give up alcohol indefinitely, so none for me. Haven't touched a drop in over three weeks. BUT I'm sure Jesus would have served craft beer and bourbon.
Well, he is Jesus, so I'm sure he could have come up with some maize and potatoes in the central Levant....in the 1st Century; and he gets to escrew kosher laws whenever he wants, right?
Happy Easter to all.
It started for us with Maundy Thurs services at our own church & then Good Friday services at the church of a good friend who’s a pastor at his church. Today we went back to our own church for Easter morning services and then we had my family over for lunch/dinner - typical, traditional Easter dinner - ham, cheesy potatoes with tons of vegetables & bread. Then off to my wife’s family for round two. Same deal... same meal. So good.
So thankful for the gift of Easter... It’s my favorite holiday. For now, for ALL the things in life we enjoy (including M & M Football) but also for all Eternity.
Happy Easter & Go Blue!
Normally wouldn't post this here, but since it seems to be a relatively civil thread on religion, I figured I'd give it a shot...
My son couldn't make it home for Easter with finals coming up and a very late Easter this year, but he sent me this pic he took of the rock on his morning run. Pretty cool, and encouraging that some students took the time to do it. Go Blue!
Also - been on this blog since 2010 and this is the first time I have ever successfully posted a photo or anything other than words. Yay me!

Let's tone down the religion, folks. You can be ethical without believing in immaculate conception, resurrection of dead people, or imaginary friends watching over everything you do. No reason to evangelize in this forum.

Dude, these were comments celebrating Easter and Passover. Come back on May 2nd, make a 'National Reason Day' post and we'll all wish you well without insulting your beliefs.
