Please reinstate point limit before people can start topics
The number of garbage topics, after Michigan won to go 4-0 on the season, is painful. 20 points isn't exactly hard to get, especially since you get 1 point just for replying to people. I know it caused people to post diary topics that didn't belong but there could be a 20 point limit on that too.
I am not trying to be elitist or anything, but this forum seems to have strayed a bit towards the likes of the scout free board since the change.
Edit: And if a new member has something important to contribute they can easily email this so called "Brian" guy as has been done before. If they can even find out how to contact him that is...

And why not make the diary point threshold 40 points?

Just made it then! What awful thread can I cook up now?
No, I agree that diaries should require about 100 points. Board threads 50. It's fair to have to put in some time making thoughtful replies before starting your own.

I agree and note that I am under the 100 point mark.

Done as in the 20 point limit is back? Or done as in taking one of the suggestions in this thread?
Either way, +1 to Brian! Yaay!

Listen, I'm all for point limits, but then how would you have posts like this. Come on, that's a high-quality discussion topic if I've ever seen one.

Great idea. And, let's enjoy this win. Who wouldn't have taken 4-0?!? It was fun lacing into those guys today, though.

Yeah, if anything, we need a point limit to start ANYTHING, board or Diary.

All we really need is the "Everybody is Dumb But Me" points requirements to be met*.
*I did not mean everybody is dumber than me (just most people). It just seems that attitude rules the day here.
